Ken adds a new dimension to The Carson Group with his solid background as a copywriter with McCann-Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather, and The Richards Group.
Joining us after a highly successful freelance career in direct marketing, Ken brings his vast experience with an impressive list of national clients including Time Inc., Mattel, Hallmark, Disney, and National Geographic.
An award-winning expert in magazine start-ups, Ken was the creative force behind the successful launchings of ESPN The Magazine, Fast Company, and many others.
Ken's extensive portfolio includes work for Six Flags Astroworld, Shell, Exxon, Mercantile Bank, the United Way, Scholastic Inc., the Metropolitan Opera, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, TurboTax, 1-800-PetMeds.com, and Rush Limbaugh.
Ken began his advertising career with the in-house creative department at Foley's department store. He has a BA in Advertising from Texas Tech University and is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. His daughter, Virginia, is about to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in advertising. His son, Eric, after graduating from Episcopal High School, will attend Savannah College of Art and Design. His wife, Elaine, is a registered nurse and a former media coordinator at McCann-Erickson. His two dogs, Madison and Lucy, are golden retrievers.
